On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, a meeting entitled “Reviewing the Latest State of Iran–UK Relations” was held at the Iran–Eurica Institute, featuring a speech by Dr. Seyed Mehdi Hosseini Matin, former Chargé d’Affaires of Iran in the United Kingdom.
The meeting examined the most important and pressing issues between Iran and the United Kingdom, including the perception of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a threat in the United Kingdom; the activities of lobbying groups affiliated with opposition, separatist, and monarchist groups within the Iranian diaspora in the United Kingdom; the future of political power in Britain over the next five years; the British presence in the South Caucasus; and other related questions and issues.
