On Sunday, May 3, 2026, a meeting entitled “Western Perceptions and Assessments of the Situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran” was held, featuring a presentation by Dr. Seyed Mahdi Hosseini Matin (former Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Kingdom), with the participation of a group of experts from the Iran–Eurica Institute.
The meeting examined American and European perceptions and assessments of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the United Kingdom’s particular perspective on the U.S. and Israeli war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the West’s overall assessment of the stability and resilience of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s political system in the post-war period. The discussions also addressed the positions and perspectives of political parties in the United Kingdom regarding the West Asian region and Palestine (Gaza), as well as the ability of Arab media networks to shape public opinion in Britain.
