On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, a meeting of the institute’s managers and experts was held with Dr. Abolfazl Amouei, the special assistant to the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly for international affairs, at the premises of the institute (Iran–Eurica). During this meeting, the institute’s experts first presented their analyses and views regarding various international issues and trends, particularly in relation to Europe and America. Then, Dr. Amouei expressed his opinions, analyses, and perspectives.
Dr. Amouei, while praising the institute’s specialized and focused activities in the field of Europe and America, considered interaction and exchange of views between policymakers and think tanks to be useful and necessary and expressed his willingness to continue this type of meetings. In his view, the difference between a think tank and a university is that a think tank receives questions of a governance-related nature and seeks to find answers to them; regardless of the extent to which the governing body makes use of these answers, the very subject matter and work of think tanks are of great importance.
