Today is the 3rd month of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which has become more than just a war with implications not only in East Europe but overseas. The consequences of this conflict have spread throughout the world.

Following the previous series of webinars and meetings, we invited Alexey Khlebnikov, Middle East expert and Russian foreign policy analyst from the Russian International Affairs Council to discuss and comment on “Russia-Ukraine Conflict and US Foreign Policy”. This webinar, being held on the ZOOM platform, will address the following questions:

  1. What are the US goals in provoking Russia-Ukraine conflict; containment and weakening of Russia or creating a new international order?
  2. How would the War in Ukraine impact US-Russia cooperation on non-proliferation, especially considering NATO’s plan to revise its nuclear deterrence policy?
  3. Will the Ukraine War have any implications for American strategies in regions like the Middle East and the Caucasus?

This event is held in the English language.
