On Tuesday, December 29, 2025, a meeting on the latest developments concerning Ukraine was held at the Iran Eurica Institute. The meeting featured speeches by Dr. Akbar Ghasemi, former Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Ukraine, and Mr. Masoud Haghighi, an expert at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the participation of a group of experts from the Iran–Eurica Institute.
The meeting was held with the aim of examining international conflicts, particularly the Russia–Ukraine war; the course of peace negotiations between the United States and Russia; and U.S. security guarantees to Ukraine. Questions such as the possibility of Russia siding with the United States against Iran in the United Nations Security Council; a potential crisis between Iran and the West following the war in Ukraine; Russia’s approach to resolving the conflict between Iran and the West; and NATO’s potential actions toward Iran after the end of the war in Ukraine were also discussed and examined.
