The second Latin American expert meeting was held from 17th to 20th of Monday Bahman on “Pathology of Iranian-Latin American Relations” with the presentation of Dr. Hoshang Karimi and Mr. Hojjatollah Soltani’s management and a group of Latin American experts.
At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Soltani, as chairman of the meeting, gave a brief explanation of the series of sessions in the Latin American Institute, and the purpose of the meetings was to remind them. In the following, Dr. Karimi continued to present his own subject with the general framework of the discussion; the general look and features of the region in the 21st century, the pathology of relations between Iran and Latin America, the challenges of the international environment and the patterns of influence and pointed out that the meeting sought time It is advisable to advance on this topic. The topic is focused on: 1. Threats, 2. Opportunities, 3. Barriers and challenges in the relationship between the two regions. In his opinion, in the first place, the definition of “insight” in the relations between the two sides will advance the work, and we must determine what is the insight into the region. One of the pests in our foreign policy, he believes, is to look at foreign policy with a post-Cold War approach. That is, we still do not believe that the Latin region has had much leap over the post-Cold War bipolar space, and we have to change our look. In the next section, changes in the area were reviewed, some cases were addressed in the pathology of the region (internal and external) and peripheral challenges.
Subsequently, by presenting a summing up of the discussions by Mr. Soltani, experts and experts gave their views and opinions, and approaches such as economic, cultural-religious and security approaches were addressed to the region, and ultimately, together with a summing-up, we determined our successful pattern as a The pattern of influence in the region was dealt with.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Karimi responded to the questions and ambiguities of the audience and expressed their views on the items mentioned.
