He is the former director of Centre of West Asian Studies in Jawaharlal Nehru University and author of many articles and books on Persian Gulf States and West Asian Studies, including<em> Iran, Iraq and the GCC States; Iraq: Sanctions and Wars; Egypt in a Changing World; Arab-Israeli Peace Process <\/em>and<em> India, Iran and the GCC States<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting was joined by Azizollah Hatamzadeh, Director of the American Studies Department at Iran-Eurica, Mostafa Kamrani, the UK Program Expert and other experts in Iran-Eurica institute.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Kamal Pasha believed that the AfghanExit is conveying a message to other US allies in the region that America can no longer be trusted, nor be relied on. In his words, this might slowly but surely have a domino effect in the region, and possible changes are not unforeseeable.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Jawaharlal Nehru University professor, the US influence on Pakistan has been deteriorating as a result of the Pakistani refusal of cooperation with the US troops to attack Afghanistan. He also commented on the fact that the Afghan exit has a clear message for the region-China is the next regional power.
